Balloon

Hold the stringDrag anywhere to tug the balloon. The tape wow follows the string’s tension.

Hold it with your handOptional: turn on Hand in the toolbar and allow the camera. Make a fist to hold the string, move your hand to move the balloon, open your hand to let go. Video is processed on this device and never uploaded.

Hold it with your phoneTilt the phone to move the string’s end and flick it to send a wave up the string. Settings switch this off.

Touch the worldThe grass is the pads, the swallows are the melody, the bicycle wheels are the chord stabs. Touch one and its part comes forward for a moment, then lets go.

Listen to the weatherThe wind moves the grass, the trees and the balloon, and the sound with them. Gusts and the swallows improvise softly in the song’s key.

No rewindThe sun lowers, the shadows stretch, the balloon slowly loses its helium. At the end the string slips and it drifts down the valley. Night falls; at dawn there is a new balloon, and the song begins again.
